Knicks star Carmelo Anthony won’t need surgery on his troublesome knee, and the team hopes it’ll be the same for his injured shoulder, according to the New York Daily News.
Martin and Smith are ill and questionable for Tuesday night’s game in Indianapolis. Shumpert has a sore left knee but coach Mike Woodson says he probably will play in Game 4 against the Pacers.
Had Smith been available for Game 4, perhaps this series would already be over. “It would’ve been,” he said Tuesday. “I would’ve been playing golf today.”
