Two NFC East teams going in different directions will face off on Saturday, but there is still a lot to prove. The Philadelphia Eagles need to make sure they earn a spot in the playoffs. The Washington Redskins have a quarterback controversy that is getting more confusing each week. Steve Beuerlein of CBS Sports spoke on the game and troubles facing both teams.
The 2014 NFL regular season started on Thursday night with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks spanking the Green Bay Packers 36-16. For the record, I picked the Packers prior to the game. So, […]
Here are my predictions for how the NFC will finish this year and who we will see in the postseason.
On the AFC North side, Andy Dalton and the Bengals will probably fall behind with the Steelers or the Ravens being most likely to win the division. Both the Ravens and the Steelers finished 8-8 last year and are ready to hit the play offs again, and win. The Steelers have potentially filled the spot of Emmanuel Sanders and his name goes by Markus Wheaton. Wide Receiver Lance Moore scored ten touchdowns last year at the University of Toledo. Wilson says that Lance is “smart and crafty.” Moore is probably one a good pick up for the Steelers, something that they need.
People have immediately jumped on “the Skins offense will be crazy good” bandwagon. Well, I don’t buy it. And here’s why.
A season of transition brought a new coach with a breath of fresh air and a new identity as a team. There were adjustments along the way as Chip Kelly adjusted to life as an NFL coach after serving an entire career at the college level, but his players bought in to the mentality Kelly introduced to them and fought their way to an NFC East division title few saw coming before the season started.
A last-second field goal by Shayne Graham brought an end to the first season of the Chip Kelly era as the Saints left Philadelphia with a 26-24 victory in the NFC Wild Card playoff. The time for season-long evaluations will come over the coming week, but for now let’s take a quick look at how the Eagles performed in this game.
The Philadelphia Eagles will need their defensive secondary to be on their toes this weekend with Drew Brees leading the New Orleans Saints in to town with a monster of a passing offense. Fortunately for the Eagles, the defensive backfield is getting healthier in time for the playoffs.
Drew Brees will be much more successful against the Eagles defense than back-up Kyle Orton was in the final game of the regular season. But, if the Eagles can knock Brees off his game, then the Saints could quickly run out of options to try and keep up wit the Eagles offense.
Fans in New York never want to abandon thoughts of the postseason this early into any season. As frustrated as they may be, the hope of a postseason run remains in the minds of the fans of both New York NFL teams.
A hometown hero from Danville, Virginia, Giants running back David Wilson is familiar to carrying vast expectations. After a rookie season filled with lavish highlights of his prodigious potential, the upcoming season appears very bright for Wilson.
