The only two notable names that could miss this Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Panthers are Steve Smith and Carlos Rogers. While it’s unlikely that Smith will sit, it would not be a surprise to see Rogers not dressed. Regardless of what happens, both teams will be fine, and shouldn’t have to make any major adjustments.
The New Orleans Saints have lost a few players to injured reserve over the course of the season, but right now, they’re looking extremely healthy for those still on the active roster. With all 53 players at practice and some new methods implemented by coach Sean Payton, the Saints are as ready as they’ll ever be.
Andrew Luck showed last week that he takes advantage of just about every single offensive weapon that he has at his disposal, and gets the most out of his players. If one of those key components is missing, the whole machine could come to a screeching halt.
