This round of warm weather will come to a peak Wednesday. Temperatures will top out near 80 degrees, close to the record of 82 degrees. And even though we back off the 80s for the rest of the week, it will still remain warm and way above the average of 64 degrees.
We topped out right at the average of 65 degrees this afternoon. It was just another beautiful, crisp, fall day. The high pressure that brought us this beautiful air mass will slowly drift down to our southeast.
After a beautiful fall weekend, a big time warm-up is on the way.
What a warm up! After only making it to 58 degrees Saturday, we topped out at 74 degrees Sunday. We are going to hang on to this warm air a little while longer. Temperatures will not drop much Sunday night, then rise to near 70 degrees again Monday. That’s before a cold front comes swinging through the state.
It was the coldest morning so far this season. We dropped to 35 degrees at BWI-Marshall and most of the Baltimore region, while temperatures got all the way down to the 20s in Western Maryland.
