A dog is recovering at home after spending hours inside a sinkhole that opened up in Frederick.

I-83 South was closed between Exit 4 and the Maryland state line because of a sinkhole Saturday afternoon. All lanes have since reopened.
“It is approximately 25-30 feet deep,” said museum director Wendell Strode. “It’s 40 feet across.”
