Tennis is an old sport. First played in England in the mid 1850s, tennis rules have changed little over the years. Tennis, an Olympic sport, is popular with professionals and amateurs alike. In addition to the summer Olympics, tennis has four major tournaments, known as the Grand Slam. These Grand Slam tournaments are the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open.
