Super Bowl XLVII
Preparation is underway for Super Bowl XLVII, as for the Ravens, they are treating their journey to the Super Dome as a “business trip”.
If you remember, the 2010 Ravens went 12-4 and made it to the Divisional Round of the AFC Playoffs. There, they suffered a gut-wrenching 31-24 loss to the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Despite the loss, and the fact the Flacco didn’t have a monster game, I felt as though Baltimore was extremely close to being a Super Bowl caliber club. Flacco was the main reason I felt that way.
The Ravens have certainly overcome adversity this season. With the passing of former owner Art Modell, the loss Torrey Smith’s brother, battling through the injuries, and of course this being Ray Lewis’s last season.
When former OC Cam Cameron was let go in December, a lot of us were curious as to the timing of the move. It was late in the season, Cameron had been in Baltimore for almost five seasons and the Ravens were still winning more than they lost.
