A strong cold front is bringing several threats to our area. A Tornado Watch, Flash Flood Watch, Coastal Flood Advisory and Wind Advisory have been issued.

We topped out right at the average of 65 degrees this afternoon. It was just another beautiful, crisp, fall day. The high pressure that brought us this beautiful air mass will slowly drift down to our southeast.
WEATHER BLOG: Chance For Severe Thunderstorms On Monday
What a warm up! After only making it to 58 degrees Saturday, we topped out at 74 degrees Sunday. We are going to hang on to this warm air a little while longer. Temperatures will not drop much Sunday night, then rise to near 70 degrees again Monday. That’s before a cold front comes swinging through the state.
WEATHER BLOG: Temps Stay In The 80s Next 2 Days, Then Start To Drop
We are still dealing with the storm that rolled in Monday night. The center, carrying most of the moisture, has moved off to the north. However, a trailing front will hang over the I-95 corridor through Thursday. That will keep the chance for a shower or thunderstorm around Wednesday and again Thursday.

Fortunately, the rain held off down at the Yard earlier before arriving Sunday evening. The front responsible for the rain is moving away overnight. It will take the rain with it, while some fog will linger.

The stalled front which brought us several rounds of rain the last few days has temporarily been pushed off to the south of us. It has put us on the drier, cooler, northern side of the front.

At least the weekend was nice, because looking into tomorrow and Tuesday, some rain and even some stronger thunderstorms are possible.

High pressure is still dominating our weather pattern, and will for a few more days. The one difference is that it is slowly drifting off to the east of us.
