After a beautiful fall weekend, a big time warm-up is on the way.
It was the coldest morning so far this season. We dropped to 35 degrees at BWI-Marshall and most of the Baltimore region, while temperatures got all the way down to the 20s in Western Maryland.
We got a break from the heat, but it’s on its way back.
Today is our transition day. The slow moving storm that brought us needed rain crept away overnight, while another front moves our way this afternoon.
Tuesday morning’s front left little in the way of rainfall. However, it did leave us in a much different air mass Tuesday afternoon.
Well, here’s what’s left of that storm from the Midwest. Not much, huh?
It’s been a cold winter so far. We were -4.1 degrees below average for December, which made it the 15th coldest December on record. Those records date back to 1872. January was another cold month, where we came in -2.1 degrees below average.
