Seafood  isn’t the only thing Baltimore is known for but also for its BBQ. Not only can you find the menus offering wet and dry rubbed, southern style but Maryland’s famous Pitt Beef. Which is your preference? May is National Barbecue Month so be sure to check out these five great places for BBQ.

The Corner Stable is located up York Road in Cockeysville. This family owned establishment has been bringing great BBQ since 1972. The menu is known for the Baby Back Ribs and colossal lump crab cakes. The ribs are slow roasted till the meat is tender and falling off the bone and then topped with either the house made BBQ sauce or a spicy Texas style sauce. The crab cake is a half pound cake made with colossal and jumbo lump cake and seasoned with the chef’s special seasoning. Try one of the combo plates like the fried chicken and ribs or crab cake and and ribs. You are sure to catch a great game or horse race on one of the many flat screen TVs.

Blue Pit BBQ and Whiskey Bar in the Woodberry neighborhood, offers both outdoor and indoor seating and a bar with more than 100 American whiskeys.
