'Tis the season, and though days get shorter during this time, Christmas lights fill the night sky. From icicle lights to big red and green bulbs, the Christmas lights displays around Baltimore are always amazing.

Plan to visit for a family stroll on Blinkin Binkies and walk your dog through the lights during their Tail Lights night. Proceeds of Symphony of Lights benefit Howard County General Hospital's Campus Development Plan. The holiday season ends with a bang as fireworks light up the night sky on New Year's Eve.

The local citizens of 34th Street of Hampden are proud to share their own version of "Miracle On 34th Street" with Baltimore. Park on the "Avenue" and spend your evening gazing at their amazing light displays. Houses are lit from sidewalk to rooftop as well as every tree and lamppost. Neighbors string lights over the street and tangle bulbs over porches. It is a Christmas fantasy come to life along the 34th Street in Hampden.

Winter Lights twinkle in Gaithersburg, Md. at Seneca Creek State Park. Drive through the many theme areas including Winter Woods, Teddy Bear Land and the North Pole. Purchase special holographic viewing glasses that really make the lights "pop" for a dazzling viewing experience. More than 380 illuminated figures and 65 animated displays highlight the 3.5 mile drive through Seneca Creek State Park. Proceeds benefit local charities, helping spread Christmas cheer.

Be sure to check out the spectacular light show Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park. More than one million lights have be positioned and composed in many shapes and images of the holiday season. Animated displays of a driving fire truck and Santa flying in a helicopter will be big hits with the kids. The two mile course is lit from beginning to end. On nice evenings, ride on the trolley for a fun holiday ride.
