Best Fourth Of July Events In Baltimore

When it comes to Independence Day celebrations, Baltimore has a lot to offer. You can check out the sparkles and pizzazz of the fireworks from many venues and locations. This year also offers a historical celebration with the Washington Monument Bicentennial celebration. These five places and activities are some of the best Fourth of July offerings here in Baltimore.

Date: July 3 & 4, 2015 at 8 p.m. (Gates open at 5 p.m.)

Grab the kids, grandparents and your friends and head to Oregon Ridge park for a night full of music and fireworks. The Baltimore Sympthony Orchestra will again hold their annual Fourth of July celebration. The BSO will feature  Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever and more while you watch the firework show overhead. The BSO's "O, Say Can You Sing?" contest winner will also perform "The Star-Spangled Banner."You can pack your own food or enjoy eats and drinks from local food trucks.

Date: July 4, 2015. Pet registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

Does your furry child have what it takes to dress to impress? Register your pet to be dressed up and strut their stuff in the parade. Prizes and trophies will be awarded for numerous categories. After the parade there will also be a pet talent show.  If you don't have a pet to participate, come by and enjoy the show as a spectator! Slainte on Wheels food truck will be there to serve up delicious food like spicy reubens, grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches and fish tacos, and also cold drinks at this free event.

Grab your sailor's hat and get ready for a splashing good time with a front row view of Baltimore's Spectacular Independence Day show as the fireworks reflect off of the Inner Harbor. This dinner cruise includes a festive buffet, open bar package and a DJ spinning dance tunes for some great 4th of July fun. The buffet includes  salads, short ribs, salmon, baked ziti, desserts and more, and the cruise stats at $130 per person.

Join in the festivities of the Monumental Bicentennial at the Washington Monument. This monument was the nation's first monument dedicated to George Washington. Be there for the official re-dedication of the monument and the ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m.  Following the reopening, you can partake in family fun with crafts, old fashion games and activities, live music, and great eats from food concessions.

Stop by the Baltimore Museum of Industry and enjoy a family friendly celebration of Independence Day with a great view of the fireworks, right from the museum's waterfront area.  There will be food and refreshments; beer and wine for sale, or you are more than welcome to bring your own picnic. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.
