Best Places To Rent A Boat In Baltimore

Baltimore is a county rich with rivers and lakes and, of course, the Chesapeake Bay. With all of that water, it is no surprise that boating and sailing is a hobby for some and a passion for many. But very few people can afford to own their own boat, and besides, boating is a fair-weather sport at best. The wiser choice is to find a solid company from which to rent your watercraft and enjoy the water when the season is right. Whether you're in it for a quick, one-time trip or as a passionate boatman, here are some reputable locations which will float your boat.
Diamond Fishing Charters
8500 Cove Road
Dundalk, MD 21222
(443) 520-8977
www.reeldiamond.com

Diamond Fishing Charters has been taking folks interested in chartering its services out on the Chesapeake Bay for over 15 years for a very memorable fishing experience. The focus of Diamond is fishing, so when you charter one of its boats, it is driven by their own captain and crew while you do the fishing. This works out well, though, because the crew knows where to go, and they have a solid record of bringing their passengers back with a catch to brag about. If you aren't an experienced fisher yourself, the crew will help you with that, as well. If your purpose in renting a boat is to get some quality fishing done, Diamond Fishing Charters is the first place you'll want to look.

On the Chesapeake near Fort McHenry, Getaway rents out sailboats for pleasure sailing in a section of the Bay reserved for powerboats, sailboats and other pleasure boaters. Not into sailboats? Getaway also rents out power boats. If you have the experience to pilot a boat on your own, they will rent you the vessel with a security deposit. Otherwise, go out with one of their trained staff skippers. Either way, you'll enjoy your day on the Bay with Getaway!

Ultimate Watersport
7200 Graces Quarters Road

Located on the peninsula which sits between Dundee Creek and Gunpowder River, Ultimate Watersport supplies the best in kayaks, stand-up paddle boards (SUP), sailboats and windsurfing boards for riding at either Hammerman Beach, located on the Gunpowder River side of the peninsula, or at the Dundee Creek Marina on the other side of the peninsula. If you're in it for the large power boats, Ultimate Watersport doesn't have what you are looking for. But for anyone looking for something wind or man-powered, Ultimate Watersport is, well, the ultimate location. Not only does it supply all of these options at two exciting beaches, but UW also offers kids camps in both the summer and winter seasons, as well as group rates and parties.
