The Color Run is a 5K that has taken the world by storm. Held on nearly every continent on earth, the Color Run boasts that it is "The Happiest 5K on the Planet!" The concept is simple enough: runners come dressed in all white. Each kilometer, participants run through a gate where they are doused with paint of all different colors. When they finish, each runner is a head-to-toe rainbow of colors, like a living Jackson Pollock piece. The Color Run is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular runs that has become an annual event in Baltimore, and is more anticipated with each coming year. If you are a Color Run alum, come back for more fun. If you're new to the race, come see how fun it can be.

On May 2nd, 2015, it will hold its annual Kinetic Sculpture Race. What is a Kinetic Sculpture, you ask? It is a human-powered, amphibious work of art. Participants hand-craft their sculpture, which must be both creative and functional. After designing their entry, participants will ride it for the eight-hour race, which covers pavement, mud, sand and the waters of the Chesapeake. If you choose to participate, you will have the opportunity to unleash your inner artist and engineer, as you showcase your handiwork on the 14-mile trek. If you choose to watch the race, you will be treated to a veritable parade of colorful and artistic vehicles designed to traverse both land and water - and look good doing it!
