May the 4th be with you. Take a look around the Baltimore area on Star Wars Day, and you will be rewarded with events featuring bounty hunters, rebels, storm troopers and Jedi, all for your fun and amusement. Here are some highlights that are sure to put the light in your saber.

The Chesapeake Arts Center is a multi-purpose arts and theater location that sits just outside the beltway and provides a venue for anyone with a well organized event to meet and perform. On May 4th, the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra will be presenting a Star Wars themed event and concert. The rules are simple: bring your own console and a Star Wars themed costume, and get ready to party. The night involves a good deal of console gaming, a costume contest and at some point, the orchestra itself will perform for you. So if you are into gaming or Star Wars (preferably both), you know where to be. The gaming goes from 2:30 pm until 6:30 pm when the costume contest is held, and the first ten people through the door get in for free.

On May 4th, the Old Line Garrison, Maryland's premier Star Wars costuming group, will be holding a Force Fitness event at Waterloo Elementary School in Columbia. This is a Star Wars-themed family fitness event involving stretches, warm-ups and Star Wars-themed games. At some point, the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers will crash the event along with plenty of characters from the Star Wars universe, and the Garrison encourages you to show up with your costume, as well. The event runs from 6 pm until 8 pm. Check the website or contact the school for details.
