THE DEFENSE

Q: Bill, this truck looks like a total workhorse and you must be using it a lot. Why haven't you given it a nickname?

A: I've only had this truck about six months. It's a company vehicle.

Q: How's it been treating you so far?

A: It's been perfect. It hasn't broke down. I had a flat tire one time, but other than that, it's been OK.

Q: What truck were you driving before it?

A: It was a 2005 F150 Ford pickup and that was fine too. The company likes Ford.

Q: What's some of the stuff you use the truck for?

A: We got shovels, bags of coal patch for the road, a ladder, buckets, nails, hammer, a chain.

Q: What's the farthest ride you've ever taken in it?

A: We went to Hagerstown a couple times. We were putting some pipe in the ground.

Q: Is that what you're doing here today?

A: We're putting some pipe in the ground for the development out here.

Q: Do you work down here a lot?

A: Yeah. This project has taken a little while, and we're trying to get this done in the next couple weeks.

Q: Do you drive fast or slow?

A: Slow. I go the speed limit. The fastest I've gone in this was only about 75. I'm not too much on driving fast.

Q: Are you allowed to drive the car when you're not on work hours?

A: No, I just drive it home and park it. That would be an insurance issue.

Q: What personal car do you drive?

A: I've got a Mazda Protégé 2006. I like driving this better, though. I don't have to pay for the gas!
