Navigating Ocean City Restaurant Week

Ocean City's Restaurant Week is back a month earlier this year, kicking off on Sunday, May 6 and continuing through Sunday, May 20. Many restaurants are partaking in the event. Check out the Ocean City Restaurant Week website for updated menus and offerings. More than 20 restaurants are participating, mostly featuring special dinner options. Layton's of 92nd, for instance, is offering breakfast and lunch and Captain's Galley is offering lunch and dinner. Some restaurants will provide more than one price point for the fixed-priced menus, ranging from $10 to $40. Taxes and gratuities are not included, so take care of your servers accordingly.

Below are some of the best eats to be enjoyed during Ocean City's Restaurant Week. Make your reservations early to secure your spot.

Jules is a fine dining restaurant and only open for dinner. The Restaurant Week menu is offering tempura-fried soft shell crab and a "drunken duck" dish: duck breast marinated for days in sake and soy sauce. The menu is subject to change, however. Along with the three-course $30 dinner, Jules is offering an early bird special during Restaurant Week. Show up early and be seated by 6 p.m. to enjoy a free glass of the house Cabernet or Chardonnay.

The Shark on the Harbor is another classic choice for Ocean City's Restaurant week. Located on the commercial fishing harbor, The Shark on the Harbor allows for great views of the Ocean City inlet and Assateague Island. With a strong eye for buying local, its seafood is purchased right at the docks and organic, locally grown produce fills each plate. American cuisines with a contemporary approach reflect a nod to the Eastern Shore and southern influences. Dining at this spot will ensure a satisfied tummy - no one knows how to do seafood better than these guys.
