Washington County Courthouse To Allow Electronics

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) --  The Washington County Courthouse's ban on electronic devices has been lifted.

Effective Jan. 1, most electronic devices can be brought into the house. They include cell phones and cameras.

Officials say that cell phones still won't be allowed in courtrooms or on the floors with courtrooms. Jurors won't be
allowed to take electronic devices into deliberation rooms.

The taking of photos or video is prohibited, except for marriage ceremonies, adoptions and historical record searches.
