Bishops Enter Friendly Wager On Steelers-Ravens
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Catholic Charities in either Pittsburgh or Baltimore will benefit from Saturday's NFL playoff clash between the Steelers and the Ravens.
The Bishop of Pittsburgh and the Archbishop of Baltimore have agreed to a friendly wager on the game. If the Ravens win, Bishop David Zubik of Pittsburgh will make a personal donation to Catholic Charities of Baltimore. Archbishop Edwin O'Brien of Baltimore will do the same thing for Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh if the Steelers win.
Zubik is also challenging O'Brien to wear a Steelers jersey and root for the Steelers through the rest of the playoffs if Pittsburgh wins. Zubik says he'll don a Ravens jersey and cheer for Baltimore "in the unlikely event that the Ravens win."
