Escaped Inmate Seen In College Park, D.C.

OAKLAND, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a man who escaped from the Garrett County Detention Center has been seen in Washington and College Park.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Tony Campos says Deandre Kelly, 29, has been seen recently. Campos warned that Kelly should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Authorities say Kelly assaulted two correctional officers and forced them to open an exit door by producing what appeared to be a handgun on Sunday.

A reward of $6,000 is being offered for information leading to Kelly's arrest.
