BLOG: Warm Monday

We are back in the upper 40s again today. The difference, the clouds are already moving back in as a new storm moves our way. Rain will break out this evening then change to snow overnight. Since it's not a strong storm (it doesn't have a lot of energy nor moisture) and temperatures are only expected to drop to near freezing, we don't expect there to be many impacts. The storm will get out of here tomorrow morning, and that's really when we will start to feel this storm's impacts.

Gusty northwest winds will bring in much colder air starting tomorrow. After starting out in the low 30s, we will only go up a few degrees to the upper 30s tomorrow afternoon. The windchill will make it feel more like it's in the 20s. We will drop into the teens tomorrow night then only recover to the mid 30s both Wednesday and Thursday.

There is another storm that will cut across the Gulf Coast mid-week. We will have to watch this one, but right now it looks like the strong push of cold air will keep this storm suppressed across the south instead of allowing it to move our way Thursday. Stay tuned...
