Fire Breaks Out At Motel Along I-95 In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- About 30 people in a Baltimore motel along Interstate 95 were forced to flee the building when a two-alarm fire broke out on the roof.

Fire department spokesman Capt. Roman Clark says the blaze broke at the Baltimore Travel Center in the 5500-block of O'Donnell Street in East Baltimore around noon on Tuesday. Clark says roofers were working on the four-story building when the fire broke out on the roof and second-floor sub-roof area, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A Maryland Transit Administration bus was called in for the 30 people who were displaced from the motel. Clark says it's not clear if they will be able to return to the building Tuesday.
