1 Dead, 2 Injured In Aberdeen Boating Accident

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- One man is dead and two others injured after a boating accident near Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

APG spokesman George Mercer says a boater on the Gunpowder River discovered the three men on a boat that had been in some kind of accident on Sunday morning and towed them back to Baltimore County.

Mercer says all three were taken to hospitals and one was pronounced dead at Franklin Square Hospital.

Mercer says portions of the river are sometimes for testing or training, but it was open to the public on Sunday morning. He says the Army's criminal investigation command will probe the incident.
