BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Two teens were arrested after one brought a gun to school.

According to police, a 16-year-old brought a gun to Perry Hall High Tuesday morning.  The gun wasn’t loaded and there was no ammo.  He then put it in a 17-year-old student’s backpack.

Other students saw this and told the School Resource Officer, who intervened.  The teens were arrested and charged as juveniles.

Expel this idiot kid whose parents will protest that they were unaware of any behavioral changes in this turd. Let him get mandated counseling. Too much of this stuff to make any excuses & parents need to take responsibility.

  2. Jaded Jane says:

Oh, but Starpower, they want to get rid of the zero tolerance policy so kids like this won’t be expelled. (Can you feel the sarcasm oozing off of this comment? lol)

Sure can and totally agree with you.

Jaded and Star. I agree that this is something to get “medieval” about. There should be zero tolerance on common sense issues. But, and it is a big but. When I read stories about a 3rd grader being expelled for bringing a GI Joe kinda toy to school for a class project because it had a gun as part of the mold. Well, I guess that’t when the common sense meter goes off the scale.

      1. Jaded Jane says:

@ NotSurprised. Agreed. Therefore it should be looked at and perhaps rewritten, not done away with.

a kid brought an unloaded gun to Perry Hall High back when i went there in the late 90’s. He was expelled but allowed to return after 6 months. what a joke! 16 and 17 y/o, charge them as adults, they know better!!

  4. Laura Young says:

The kid that did this has been a problem for awhile. He’s a nasty kid and I hope they keep him out.

    1. A says:

While I agree that this is completely unacceptable behavior, you people are ridiculous. The kid has not been known to be “nasty”, nor is he or his parents idiots. He made a clearly stupid judgement call. No one really knows why. He has a tendency to try to earn peoples approval so I will fathom to guess it’s something along those lines. The people who are talking trash should really withhold judgement. The same thing could happen to anyone who makes a terrible judgement call. It’s not your place to invoke a superiority complex.

      1. Corporal N. USMC says:

The kid is an idiot! Known fact he is a liar and a fabricator. He went around telling students that he was recruited by the Marine Corps which he is obsessed with and was sent to Afghanistan over the summer and had 3 confirmed kills. Your a correct he does want to earn people approval and that along with his obsession is a bad combination.!

  5. Eva Hoffman says:

where did they get the gun?

  6. Marie says:

Oh gosh the kids at my school…had us worried cuz he brought an unloaded gun to school idiot smh and we was on lockdown

  7. Michele says:

This is why people are now Home schooling their children. Because of stupid stuff like this. This Makes you wonder what kind of upbrining these kids have. But they are old enough to know right from wrong, so I say they want to do this, kick them out of school for good, and let them see if they can make it in the real world.. Kids like this have no business in school to begin with.

I received a letter from Perry Hall High School yesterday, which included a vague explanation of the gun incident and also said that they ensure the safety of my child. However, I wasn’t satisfied with the letter, so I called the principal to get more of an explanation. He was so evasive as to whether or not that kid or those kids would be expelled from the school. He could not ensure that the kid or kids would no longer be at PHHS, so I don’t think he fully understands how to ensure the safety of any of the student’s at PHHS. Also, if this was Woodlawn or Milford Mill media would be having a field day. What is really going on? Who is this kid or kids and who do they know?
