Military Plans Training Flights Over D.C. Area
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The North American Aerospace Defense Command is advising residents in the Washington area of some upcoming military training flights.
Officials said Tuesday that the flights are scheduled Thursday morning between midnight at 3 a.m.
The flights are part of Exercise Falcon Virgo, designed to hone the military's aircraft intercept and identification operations and test the region's visual warning system.
The exercise will include Air Force and Civil Air Patrol aircraft.
