Md. School To Dedicate Statue Of Pope John Paul II

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland is dedicating a statue of Pope John Paul II on the same day he is being beatified at the Vatican. 

The university is holding a dedication for the statute on Sunday following an outdoor Mass. The six-foot statute statue is made of marble and was carved in Italy. It was donated to the university by Howard Kang.
