Md. Man Kept Body In Closet 4 Days, Police Say

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown police say a man kept his roommate's body in a bedroom closet for four days after killing him.

Darrell Hicks, 53, remained behind bars on $750,000 bond after a bail review Monday. He's charged with second-degree murder.

Investigators say Hicks acknowledged stabbing Darrin Pressman, 45, in their downtown apartment May 30.

He allegedly told police his instincts took over when Pressman came out of a bedroom with a large kitchen knife. Police say he told investigators that he grabbed the knife and stabbed Pressman several times.

Pressman's girlfriend found the body on Friday. She told police she pushed her way past Hicks to check on an odor coming from Pressman's room.

She says Hicks had told her on the two previous days that he didn't know where Pressman was.
