BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say charges are pending against a woman who decided to give her 14-year-old niece a driving lesson and ended up in Lake Montebello.

Police spokesman Kevin Brown says the teen accidentally put her foot on the accelerator instead of the brake Tuesday and the van she was driving crashed through a fence and into the lake.
