Md. Man Pleads Guilty To Advertising Child Porn

BALTIMORE, Md. (AP) -- A western Maryland man faces at least 35 years in prison for advertising child pornography through an Internet file-sharing program.

Matthew Sluss, 34,of Rawlings pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.

Prosecutors say that because he has two prior convictions for sexually exploiting children, Sluss could be sentenced to life in prison. His previous convictions were in Maryland and Arkansas.

Investigators say Sluss used file-sharing technology to share tens of thousands of forbidden images and videos with more than 70 online friends.

In his plea agreement he acknowledged soliciting such material from others by encouraging them to share videos of prepubescent boys engaged in sexual activity.

Sluss will be sentenced Aug. 29.
