Ex-Postal Worker Admits To Stealing Money Orders

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- Federal authorities say a former Postal Service employee has pleaded guilty to stealing $78,000 in moneyorders.

Lamonica Henderson, 42, of Oxon Hill pleaded guilty on Tuesday to misappropriation of postal funds. She faces a maximum of 10 years in prison at sentencing in September.

According to her plea agreement, Henderson worked at the Lanham-Seabrook Post Office in Prince George's County. Authorities say Henderson fraudulently issued money orders to herself, relatives and others.
