BLOG: Another July Day

Another July day in Baltimore

With the stalled front just off to our south and temperatures heating up to near 90 degrees, another round of spotty thunderstorms is underway today. There are not a lot of them this afternoon, but there are some - and they are mainly along the beaches today. A few thunderstorms could still pop up before the sun sets this evening. Everything that does form will die down overnight.

As long as that front is close by, we do have to keep the chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the forecast again tomorrow. Otherwise, it will be warm with highs near 90 degrees. Then, a new front will come in from the northwest. It will kick the stalled front out of here, while also bringing in a new round of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Expect a wider coverage of showers and thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday as that front slowly moves through Maryland. It will still be warm and even muggier with highs in the upper 80s/near 90. The front will head out to sea on Saturday, but there could still be a couple of lingering thunderstorms popping up - with much less action than Thursday and Friday.

We will be watching for another storm to move our way either late Sunday or Monday.
