ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Anne Arundel County branch of the NAACP is asking for a Justice Department to probe into the hiring and disciplinary practices of the county’s police department, saying black officers have reported disparate treatment.

The president of the county’s branch of the NAACP, Jacqueline Allsup, sent a letter Monday to Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski asking her to make a formal request for an investigation by the Justice Department. Allsup says efforts by the officers to address their complaints within the department have so far failed.

The police department said in a statement that it does not tolerate discrimination and is committed to diversity. The department says that 47 of its 635 officers are black.

Don’t worry Babs will take care of this. They (NAACP) should contact ACORN, SEIU, AARP, NRA, AAA, NCAA, SEC, Big 10, LSU, MSU and anyone else they can think of for support. Sorry, I forgot Obama, Hoyer, Van Hollen, Cardin, and the whole Democratic party. Especially O’Malley.

The NAACP needs to back off.

Look at the statistics of the county. Population is 81% White 13% Black based on the last census. So that means that the percentage of white officer to black is right in line based on population in the county.

Where is the NAACP during all this Black violence such as the Inner Harbor on July 4th where one White person was killed by a Black street thug and a White child shot in his leg crossing Pratt street? Oh, and let’s not forget the Black gang girls beating each other up right on the Inner Harbor promenade not even caring who or what camer caught them. Why didn’t the NAACP speak out against all this Black savagery that the whole world saw and only worked to further support negative feelings against Blacks? Where were you NAACP? You call all this violence conducted by your people “advancement”?
