Md. Dog Back Home With Owner After Escape
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Jack Russell terrier has been reunited with his owner in Hagerstown with the help of a radio show.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that the dog was found wandering Friday outside a McDonald's on Northern Avenue. A former Hagerstown mayor, Steven T. Sager, saw the dog wandering without its owner and tried to call the dog, but he instead ran into traffic. A McDonald's manager managed to coax the dog out of the road with a sausage patty.
The group then called a local radio station, which broadcast the story of the lost dog. Within two hours the dog's owner, Michael Holland, came to collect him. Holland says his dog Roadie escaped Friday morning as he was preparing to take him for a walk.
