BLOG: Conn's Keys To The Game
Here are the 3 things I will be looking at the most tonight.
First off the young wide receivers have to show me something. To be honest with you, even if they do play well, its no indication that this team should roll into the regular season status quo. The Ravens still need to add a veteran wide receiver. I will be taking a close look at Torrie Smith, Tandon Doss, David Reid and believe it or not Justin Harper. This is a make or break preseason for Justin Harper, he cant go on the practice squad this year.
Also I will be watching closely to see how Sergio Kindle plays. I was ecstatic when the Ravens drafted him. I thought he was one of the 15 best players coming out in the draft last year, and then he promptly fell down 2 flights of stairs and got a DUI. If he is healthy, I think he could be that missing piece in the linebacking corps. I'm hoping Sergio can prove the critics wrong and show the fans how good he can be.
The last thing I will be looking at is the offensive line, most importantly at center. With the injury to Matt Birk, I believe the Ravens are in desperate need of a legitimate center. Also I'll be checking out that right tackle position. I have heard nothing but good things on Jah Reid, but lets see how he looks in action.
