BLOG: AFC Predictions
I am going to break things down division by division and tell you who I think will make the playoffs. I like to think outside of the box, so I'm waiting for the criticism...
AFC EAST - Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Bills... I think the Jets will finally edge out Pats to win the division. They played them well in the playoffs and I believe they have the personal to beat them. I still like this Patriots team, but their defense is going to have to keep getting turnovers like they did last year. I believe the Dolphins will be better this year, but not good enough with 2 playoff teams in their division. Bills will be in last place, yet again.
AFC WEST - Chargers, Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders... I love the Chargers this year. They are finally healthy and special teams will be better. I think they finish with the best record in football. I like John Fox and his ability to run the ball and with Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil they will be able to get after the QB. The Chiefs had a very easy schedule last year and I like the direction they are moving in, but I can't pick Matt Cassel. Raiders fall into the Seahawks category with me... What the Hell are they doing?
AFC SOUTH - Texans, Colts, Titans, Jaguars.... With the news of Manning missing 2-3 months, you have to like the Texans here. If Manning were healthy, the Colts would win this division. I don't like the Jaguars or the Titans at all this year.
AFC NORTH - Ravens, Steelers, Browns, Bengals... First off; the Bengals will be one of the worst teams in football and the Browns will be better then expected. I believe this is the year the Ravens exercise the demons against the Colts and the Steelers. The Ravens will get stronger as the season goes on and will finally edge the Steelers and win this division.
Wildcards... Patriots and Steelers.
