Md. Congress Members Seek Emergency Declaration
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland's congressional delegation is seeking a federal emergency declaration for Tropical Storm Lee.
Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski said Friday that the declaration would make Maryland eligible for federal disaster recovery dollars.
The letter to President Barack Obama cites heavy rains from both Tropical Storm Lee and Hurricane Irene less than two weeks earlier.
