Police: Man Runs Into Trooper, Gun Falls

TRAPPE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say an Easton man who ran from an underage drinking party into a trooper has been arrested after a gun allegedly fell from him.

The Star Democrat of Easton reports that it happened late Sunday in Trappe. Troopers were called to Ocean Gateway for a reported party. When officers knocked, about a dozen people fled the house.

One man allegedly ran directly into a trooper. He fell to the ground and police say a .22-caliber gun fell from him.

Ronald Lee Haddaway Jr., 20, was charged with gun offenses. He was released on $30,000 bond.
