BALTIMORE (AP) — HBO is set to begin filming the series VEEP in Maryland.

Shooting is set to start this week. The pilot episode was shot in Maryland in February.

VEEP is a comedy set near the White House. It stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a former senator who finds being vice president is not what she expected.

The Maryland Film Office estimates that the five weeks of prep and eight weeks of filming and wrap of the seven episodes could have an economic impact of $25 million, and create more than 2,000 jobs for Maryland crew and actors.
