Energy Saver Tip: Planting Trees Keeps Neighborhoods Cooler

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- The fall planting season is well underway.

Mary Bubala reports.

A well-placed tree can save up to 25 percent of the energy a typical household uses. Research shows that air temperatures can be 3 to 6 percent cooler in a tree-shaded neighborhood.
