BLOG: NBA Lockout
I'm hoping this thing gets figured out at some point today. I know there a lot of people in Baltimore who aren't NBA fans, but I love watching the best of the best play. Basketball is and always will be my sport. I grew up playing it and watching it. I have always said basketball players are the best athletes and after the World Series is over I'm sure I'll go through withdrawal on week nights.
Ownership and players are fighting over money again and in my opinion it had to happen. First off let me say the owners are at fault for offering all of the bad contracts over the years. When big bodied bench players are making 50 million over 6 years, then you know you have a problem. I'm not saying the players are right either, but they have to wake up and realize that the money is clearly off.
Get to some sort of agreement so I can at least have the talking heads talk about the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks.
