Fish And Wildlife Employee Admits To Embezzling
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Federal authorities say an employee with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $26,000 from the government.
Sheldon S. Mixon, 42, of Elkridge entered the plea on Friday. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison at sentencing in January.
According to his plea agreement, Mixon embezzled between $26,000 and $70,000 by using his government-issued credit card to make unauthorized purchases from stores for his personal use.
