Metro Trains To Share Track On 4 Of 5 Lines
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro trains will share a single track on parts of four of the system's five lines this weekend in order to accommodate improvement work.
Metro says portions of the red, blue, orange and green lines will be affected beginning Friday night and continuing through Sunday.
Metro says trains on the red line will share one track between Van Ness and Friendship Heights and between Takoma and Forest Glen.
On the blue line, trains will share one track between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery, and on the orange line trains will share one track between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon.
Finally, on the green line, trains will share one track between U Street and Georgia Ave-Petworth, causing minor delays.
