Bike-Riding Santa Brings Christmas Tree, Pulled Pork

BALTIMORE (AP) -- One Baltimore entrepreneur isn't spreading Christmas cheer with tiny reindeer, but bicycles and pulled pork.

Jason Toraldo's Pork N' Pine Christmas tree delivery service features a bike-riding Santa and elves with sandwiches in tow, and a boom box blasting holiday tunes.

The recruiter for a Johns Hopkins University gifted-and-talented program says he was looking for a side business to operate with a longtime friend. They eventually decided to combine his Christmas tree idea with his friend's father's dream of starting a pulled pork business.

Toraldo told The Baltimore Sun that orders from within two miles of his South Baltimore home are delivered by bicycle. A van is used for orders farther away.

Toraldo says he expects to deliver about 20 trees and sandwiches this year.
