Drivers Identified In Metrobus Crash In Md.

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police are identifying the drivers in a fatal collision involving a Metrobus and pickup truck in Bethesda.

Police say 49-year-old Nkonou Ayaovi Edorh of Silver Spring, who had been driving the pickup truck, was killed in the accident Wednesday afternoon on Rockville Pike. The driver of the bus, 41-year-old Lennitta Bryant of Silver Spring, was seriously injured.

Metro says Bryant was operating a bus headed to Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg. She remained hospitalized late Thursday.

Police say a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crossed the median and collided with a Metrobus. Authorities are still investigating what caused that to happen.

The accident shut down a section of Rockville Pike for hours.
