Woman Killed In East Baltimore Fire

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An investigation is underway into a deadly fire.

It happened Thursday morning in the 2700-block of East Biddle Street in East Baltimore.

Fire officials say smoke was coming from the first and second floors of the two-story rowhouse when they arrived at the scene.

They say a woman was killed after being trapped and believe her death was due to smoke inhalation.

No one else was hurt.

There's no word on how the fire started at this time. It also has not been determined whether the home had working smoke alarms.
