Weekday Track Work On Metro Will Result In Delays

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro is conducting weekday track work on the red, orange and blue lines that will cause delays of up to 15 minutes at certain times of the day.

Metro says that beginning Tuesday and continuing through Friday, trains will single track on the red line between Van Ness and Friendship Heights during the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. That will result in delays of up to 10 minutes. Also during the same time period on the orange line, trains will single track between Clarendon and Ballston, also causing delays.

There will be additional delays from Tuesday to Thursday, starting at 10 p.m. Customers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes on the red, orange and blue lines as trains single track on parts of each line.
