Dog Stolen With Car Reunited With Owners

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police say a dog stolen with a car in December has been reunited with his owners.

The owners called police on Friday after hearing from a person who said he had found their dog, Cody. Detectives accompanied the owners to meet with the caller at a neutral location and retrieve the dog.

Cody's owner left the dog in his car on the 6500-block of Sheriff Road in the Landover area on Dec. 12. But when he returned, the car had been stolen with the dog still inside. The car was found nearby a short time later, but Cody was still missing.

Police are still investigating the theft of the car.
