Boston U Beats Maryland-Baltimore County 73-52

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Senior Darryl Partin tallied a team-high 17 points, while freshman Zach Chionuma recorded a season-high 12 points with a trio of 3-pointers, to lead Boston University over Maryland-Baltimore County 73-52 Wednesday night.

Patrick Hazel posted 10 points, a team-high seven rebounds and a block to move into sole possession of second place all-time at BU (15-15, 11-4 America East Conference) in blocks with 115. Travis Robinson also scored 10 points.

UMBC's Chase Plummer finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Brian Neller added 13 points, as UMBC (4-24, 3-12) was held to 18-of-61 shooting (29.5 percent).

The Terriers shot 26-for-56 (46.4 percent) from the floor.

Leading 23-17 with 6:32 remaining, the Terriers then scored the game's next nine points and went into the locker room ahead 36-20 at the half. BU extended the lead to as high as 23 points, 59-36, at 8:41 left and cruised from there.
