
POWHATAN, Va. (AP) — Virginia State Police have identified one of three people killed in a five-vehicle accident in Powhatan County.
Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar says Russell R. Abel Jr., 23, of Chesterfield was the driver of a dump truck hauling sludge that crossed the center line and hit a log truck head on.

The drivers of those vehicles were injured. Molnar identified them as 25-year-old Dray D. Jones and 63-year-old James B. Dabney, both of Cumberland, and Michael W. Steis of Brandywine, Md.
The investigation is continuing.
