Woman Runs Down Purse-Snatch Suspect In Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis police say a woman chased down a purse-snatching suspect, grabbed him by the collar and retrieved her stolen money.
The Capital newspaper of Annapolis reports that the woman was having lunch Monday at an outdoor table at a West Street restaurant when a man told her someone had just grabbed her purse.
The woman told officers she saw a man running with her Louis Vuitton purse and she ran after him. He pulled her cash from her wallet and discarded the purse and its contents. She ran him down a couple of blocks away and he returned her money and asked her not to call police.
Police said Egan O'Brien, 40, of Annapolis was charged with two counts of theft.
